The English Skills Program (ESP) is Somalia’s first structured English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program. It equips learners with essential academic, communicative, and study skills needed for success in university and beyond. ESP develops listening, speaking, reading, and writing through skill-based courses, critical thinking, and personalized support. The program includes five progressive levels—from Foundation to Mastery—using Macmillan’s Skillful series alongside digital and multimedia resources for an engaging, effective learning experience.
The program is comprised of five levels
- ESP 080 – Foundation ESP
- 090 – Beginner ESP
- 100 – Intermediate ESP
- 101 – Advanced ESP
- 102 – Mastery
