Biography
Ahmed Abdullahi Mohamud is a dedicated lecturer and researcher at SIMAD University’s Institute of Modern Languages (IML). He holds dual master’s degrees in Applied Linguistics and International Relations and Diplomacy from the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) and Mogadishu University, respectively. Additionally, he earned dual bachelor’s degrees in English Language and Literature from Mogadishu University and in Sharia (Jurisprudence and its Principles) from the University of Somalia (UNISO). He has extensive teaching and research expertise. He has numerous peer-reviewed journal publications. Ahmed’s research interests include, but are not limited to, English language teaching (ELT), linguistics, social development, diplomacy, foreign policy, international relations, and international political economy (IPE). His work focuses on Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), textbook analysis, and curriculum development. Ahmed has published scholarly articles on English language teaching in Somalia and actively contributes to educational workshops and literacy programs. He serves voluntarily as the Head of Research and Development at the Qalinqoyan Literacy Club.
