Biography
Bashir Ali kadhala is the current Director, Institute of Modern Languages and also a senior lecturer at Simad University. He completed both his Masters of Education in Language and Literature Education and Bachelors in Mass communication at Makerere University. He has been working in Simad University for 8 years. Mr. Bashir has over 20 years of teaching and leadership comprising local and international experience. He has relevant academic training in education, language, and literature as well as mass communication. Having worked with various Somali universities and educational institutions in Hargeisa, Mogadishu and Bosaso. He has also shown strong cultural adaptability to work well with students, leadership, and other stakeholders. Another notable strength is that he moved up the career ladder within IML wearing different hats at different times as a teacher and a curriculum coordinator before becoming the Director.
