Biography
Mustafa Ahmed Wehlie is a senior researcher, linguist and English language lecturer at the
Institute of Modern Languages at SIMAD University, where he also contributes to academic
development as a committed member of the teaching faculty. He earned a Bachelor’s degree
in English Language and Literature from Mogadishu University and Master’s degree in English
Language and Linguistics at the Centre for Postgraduate Studies at Mogadishu University.
He has a strong interest in applied linguistics, public and communicational Skills, language
instruction, and English for Academic Purposes. His background in higher education has given
him a solid basis in curriculum design. He actively participates in the Institute’s language
program development and student mentoring in addition to his teaching responsibilities.
His method of instruction places a strong emphasis on critical thinking, interactive learning,
and practical application, enabling students to become fluent and confident in English. He has
a strong desire to use successful, student-centered education to assist learners in achieving their
academic and professional objectives.
